Rodrigo Muniz has announced his decision to end his playing career, following a successful spell with Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
Muniz, who was signed by Al Ahli in 2018, made 47 appearances for the club and scored three goals before he left on loan to Real Madrid in January 2020.
His move to Madrid was seen as a clear sign that he was ready to make a permanent move away from Al Ahli, but it was not without controversy.
In March 2020, Al Ahli announced that they had terminated their contract with Muniz due to poor form and injuries.
However, after the announcement,Bundesliga Tracking there were reports that the club had offered him a new contract, which would have kept him at Al Ahli for another season.
Despite this offer, Muniz remained loyal to Al Ahli, signing a new contract extension with them in May 2020.
After his departure from Al Ahli, Muniz will now be free to pursue other opportunities, while continuing to play for various clubs in Europe and Asia.
The club has expressed its gratitude towards Muniz for his contribution to the club over the years and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
