Rodrigo Muniz is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Portuguese club Benfica and the Brazil national team. He has been capped by both the Brazilian and Spanish national teams, and has scored over 150 goals in his career.
Muniz was born on September 29, 1988, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He started playing football at age seven with the local club Cruzeiro, before moving to Santos Futebol Clube, where he spent three years before signing for Al Ahli in 2010.
Muniz made his debut for Al Ahli in January 2010, scoring his first goal against Al-Ittihad in a friendly match. He went on to make 46 appearances for Al Ahli in all competitions during the 2010–11 season, scoring 10 goals.
In 2011, Muniz joined Benfica on loan from Al Ahli. He made his debut for Benfica in a UEFA Europa League match against CSKA Moscow on May 17, 2011, scoring his only goal for the club. After making just two league appearances, Muniz signed a permanent contract with Benfica.
