Omorodion, the Nigerian international footballer who played for FC Porto and was known as one of the best defenders in Europe, passed away on August 22nd, 2017 at the age of 34.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Omorodion began his career with the youth teams of FC Porto before making his professional debut in 2006. He quickly established himself as a key player for the club and went on to win several titles with them,Football Connect Network including three consecutive league championships from 2008-2010.
In addition to his success with FC Porto, Omorodion also represented Nigeria at the highest level, earning 59 caps and scoring two goals for the national team. He was part of the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2012, and he continued to play at a high level throughout his career.
Despite his talent and success, Omorodion's life was cut short by a heart attack in 2017. His passing has been mourned by fans and teammates alike, and his legacy as one of the greatest defenders in European football will continue to be remembered for years to come.
